Every three years, the Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) puts our entire business under a microscope to confirm we’re actually doing what we say we do. This year, as part of our CSIA recertification process, we posted the highest scores in Vertech’s history. It will take us through nine years of certification (2020-2029). That’s a long streak in an industry that changes as fast as ours does, and we’re not taking a single one of those years for granted.
For the uninitiated, CSIA’s certification is the closest thing our industry has to a report card. It measures a company against a detailed set of best practices covering everything from how we manage projects to how we train engineers to how we protect the systems we build for clients long after installation. An outside team of auditors reviews our records, interviews our staff, and pressure tests our processes against that standard. Passing is one thing. Improving your score every cycle is another, and that’s the part we’re proudest of.
“Vertech has been preparing for this audit since our last certification in 2023, and the results truly reflect how much we’ve grown and evolved as a company over that time,” commented Operational Excellence Manager Sara Paz. “This achievement reflects the continued dedication of everyone at Vertech to maintaining the highest standards in engineering, project execution, and quality management.”
Auditors measured Vertech against CSIA Best Practices in 10 key areas, from quality management and project management to service, support, and cybersecurity. We met or exceeded the requirements in every single one. Categories like cybersecurity and quality management sit right at the intersection of what clients actually feel day to day: fewer surprises, faster support, and systems built to hold up long term.
Our performance in the audit reinforces the industry recognition we received when Vertech was named 2026 System Integrator of the Year by Control Engineering and Plant Engineering. Both point to a team that keeps raising its own bar instead of coasting on past wins. That bar is held by our engineers, project managers, and support staff, who spent three years on the unglamorous work behind this score: refining documentation, tightening processes, and asking hard questions about where we could be better. In the words of baseball legend Dizzy Dean, “It ain’t bragging if you can back it up.”
We don’t see recertification as a finish line. It’s a checkpoint that tells us where to focus next, and we already have a list.
